The Office of Diversity Initiatives invites you to participate in the DRIVEN Leadership Workshop on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

King’s College will continue its annual DRIVEN Leadership Workshop (Diversity, Resilience, Impact, Vocation, Excellence, and Networking). This event was created by the Diversity and Inclusion Student Committee and is proudly sponsored by Student Affairs at King’s College.

This conference is designed to empower student leaders with the tools and knowledge needed to excel both during their time at King’s and beyond graduation. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers, grow as leaders, and make a meaningful impact on campus and in their future communities.

This will be a transformative experience .

Attention Barre Scholars! 🗣️

Wilkes-Barre POWER! is hosting a networking event at The Down Pour on Thursday, March 26th from 6 to 8 p.m., and Wilkes has 5 VIP tickets reserved for students.

Because space is limited, VIP spots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please feel free to share this opportunity with your students. Interested students should RSVP directly to [email protected] to secure a spot.

Students who need casual business attire are encouraged to visit the Colonel Clothing Closet ahead of the event.

Attention Barre Scholars! 🗣️🗣️

Join our very own Dr. Kuiken, Dr. Maierean, and Dr. Toll for a panel discussion on “Understanding the War in Iran.”

The event will take place on Thursday, March 19 at 11:00 a.m. in Breiseth Hall, Room 107.

Dr. Jonathan Kuiken, Associate Professor of History will begin with key historical events that shaped modern Iran. Dr. Andreea Maierean, Associate Professor of Political Science will discuss perspectives from people in Iran and across the region. Dr. Benjamin Toll, Associate Professor of Political Science and Criminology will conclude with the implications for the United States and possible future scenarios.

There will be time at the end for questions and discussion. The goal is to help students better understand the history behind the conflict and the possible directions it may take.

Apply now for the PASFAA Scholarship!

All students applying for the PASFAA Scholarship must meet all of the following requirements:

➢ Pennsylvania resident - If you are 18 years of age or older you must be a Pennsylvania resident for at least the 12 consecutive months before you file the FAFSA (excluding any time you are enrolled in a Pennsylvania postsecondary
school, if you came into or remained in Pennsylvania for the purpose of attending a school or college). If you are under 18 years of age you must have a supporting parent or guardian who has been a Pennsylvania resident for at
least the 12 consecutive months before you filed the FAFSA.
➢ Enrolled at least half-time, in a degree-seeking program in a post-secondary institution of higher education OR a diploma/certificate program in the Health Sciences and Career Technology Sector only
➢ Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have completed 30 credits or the hours equivalent from a post-secondary institution of higher education at the time of application
➢ Scholarships are non-renewable, but students are welcome to reapply
➢ Preference will be given to applicants attending schools that are part of the PASFAA membership
➢ No more than one scholarship per year will be given to each of the following sectors: Health Sciences and Career Technology, Private Four Year, Public Two Year, PASSHE, State-Related and Graduate Schools.

The PASFAA Scholarship is made possible by the association and generous donations from members. PASFAA will award six
$1,000 scholarships.

Award winning, best-selling novelist Amor Towles will speak on campus at the 2026 Rosenn Lecture Series on Sunday, March 15.

Join the E.S. Farley Library in celebrating the work of Amor Towles by joining their book club! Faculty, staff and students are invited to select a complimentary copy of a Towles book, then gather for thoughtful discussion and community conversation.

Book club discussion will take place on Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m. in Farley Room 002 – refreshments will be provided
