Pennsylvania College of Technology became an affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University in 1989, after establishing a national reputation for education supporting workforce development, first as a technical institute and later as a community college. Today, Penn College is a special mission affiliate of Penn State, committed to applied technology education. Conveniently located in Williamsport

(Central Pennsylvania), Penn College attracts the second-highest enrollment in the Penn State system; approximately 6,000 students are enrolled in associate- and bachelor-degree programs relating to more than 100 different career areas. In addition, Penn College manages the state's largest worker training program through its Workforce Development and Continuing Education unit. The modern Penn College campus offers students hands-on instruction and access to the latest equipment, leading to excellent graduate placement and "degrees that work".

Degrees That Work, Donors That Save ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ

The Penn College Wellness Committee & senior-level students notched a first-place finish in this year's Donate Life Pennsylvania College Challenge. ๐Ÿ†

Through various public events, social media messaging, and collaboration with campus partners, the Wildcats successfully registered 219 new organ donors while educating students and community members about misconceptions regarding organ and tissue donations.

"I am so proud of the coordinated efforts of the PCT Wellness Committee and BSN Community Health Nursing students," said assistant nursing program professor Terri Stone. "A special thanks to for the opportunity to compete in this year's college challenge. I canโ€™t thank everyone enough for their support!"

Taking place at White Deer Golf Complex, the twentieth annual Golf Outing provided a perfect opportunity to spend a sunny Spring morning on the green. โ˜€๏ธ

"The Construction Management program benefits from amazing industry and alumni support," said assistant professor and department head for construction management, Wayne Sheppard. "We had over 50 companies participate and sponsor the 20th Anniversary Outing, which directly benefits our students. It was a beautiful day of camaraderie and fun for a good cause."

Congratulations to Distinguished Alumni Award winner, Jacob Fisher! ๐ŸŽ“

As plant manager for one of the largest steel fabricators in North America, High Steel Structures LLC, Jacob has been instrumental in the company's donation of over 400,000 pounds of scrap steel to the program.

In addition to these accomplishments, Fisher is a member of the Penn College President's Leadership Council and the industry advisory committee for welding.

Over 350 middle schoolers from a dozen schools experienced potential careers rooted in science, technology, engineering, and math, at the third annual . โš—๏ธ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธโš™๏ธโž•

The students rotated through a series of 45-minute hands-on workshops ranging from programming robots to operating a mini excavator. Supported in part by a grant from the EQT Foundation (EQT Corporation), the STEMFest sessions were led by Penn College faculty and staff.
