North Carolina Central University (NCCU) will receive more than $110.3 million in state funding. It has surpassed 9,000 students for the first time in its 116-year history and is one of the fastest-growing institutions in the University of North Carolina System. NCCU will use this funding to serve more students, invest in faculty and staff, improve campus facilities and create more pathways for students to thrive.
| Thank you to the North Carolina General Assembly for investing in the future of North Carolina Central University. The more than $110.3 million in core appropriations supports recurring base funding, enrollment growth, the Cheatham-White Scholars Program, program-specific funding, collaborative initiatives, faculty and staff compensation, athletics through sports wagering revenues, expanded health-related academic programs, and campus capital and infrastructure improvements.
Together, these investments strengthen student success, advance academic excellence, and position NCCU to continue soaring through Vision 2030: Soaring to New Heights. Thank you for believing in the mission, momentum, and future of NCCU.
