The UNCW Community Music Academy is an outreach extension of the UNCW Department of Music and the College of Arts and Sciences. The UNCW CMA offers year round music instruction in the form of private instruction, small and large ensembles, festivals, workshops and master classes. All course offerings are open and available to the general public, however certain restrictions may apply. The CMA sche

dule runs congruent with UNCW’s academic and holiday schedule. The CMA offers registration periods at the beginning of each Fall and Spring semester. Tuition/Fee information is available by downloading the Registration/Policies form found below. Secure online payments through TouchNet can be made through the “Pay Online” link below, however it is required that all registrants complete and sign the paper registration/policies form once per academic year.

🎵 Exciting news, Wilmington families!

Registration is now open for the UNCW CMA Summer Music Camp — and we couldn't be more thrilled about what we have planned!

📅 June 8–12, 2026 | 8am–6pm

📍 UNCW Cultural Arts Building

🎓 Grades K–12 | 💵 $400

Your young musician will experience:

🎻 Group classes, chamber music ensembles & masterclasses
🎼 Music history & theory
🎺 Middle & high school orchestra
🎉 A final concert performance!

Breakfast provided by Beach Bagels & Subs always a hit!

We're also thrilled to welcome featured guest artist -Jin Kim, violin, ECU

This year we are in partnership with Brooklyn Arts Music Academy

Individual lessons available with UNCW Faculty and guest artist at $80/hr.
