UNCW Honors College Welcome to the official page for the UNCW Honors College. Check in for updates, photos, and The Honors College provides oversight for five areas:

1.)

The UNCW Honors College emphasizes the goals of the university by offering students the chance to further their education, in any major. The 4-year honors curriculum of classes and seminars;
2.) Departmental Honors: the capstone senior honors project in the major
3.) Honors international, ranging from one-week study abroad "splashes" to an honors semester in Wales;
4.) Undergraduate research oppo

rtunities for all students at UNCW through CSURF, the Center for the Support of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships;
5.) Advising for all UNCW students interested in applying for national scholarships and fellowships. Outside of the classroom, the Honors College provides opportunities for students to engage in co-curricular activities, live on campus in the Cornerstone Hall (the on-campus residence hall for first-year Honors students), and participate in various Honors organizations.

Honors will be taking select students to tour the USS North Carolina Battleship on March 29th fron 12:30 to 3:30 pm. The showboat tour explores 9 levels of the ship from the Main to Secondary Plotting rooms to the Bridge. The tour includes the Engine Room, Turret II Barbette, Main Deck, 2nd and 3rd Decks, and the 1st Platform plus four levels above the Main Deck to the 04 level. This tour does require going up and down several flights of stairs and is not recommended for those with mobility issues. Follow the link in our bio to sign up!

March 20th at 6 PM, the Honors College will be hosting speaker Dr. Jon Grinspan, Curator of Political History at the Smithsonian's Museum of American History and author of three books, including Wide Awake: the Forgotten Force that Elected Lincoln and Spurred the Civil War.
