What began with humble beginnings in the Isaac Bear Building on Market Street has grown into a university that reaches far beyond those first classrooms.

The R/V Osprey has landed! ⛴️

After making its journey from All American Marine in Washington State, the 78-foot research vessel has officially become a part of the UNCW fleet!

Outfitted with advanced labs and state-of-the-art marine technology, UNCW Center for Marine Science will use the Osprey to expand our ability to advance knowledge and serve the local, national and global scientific communities - all while marking a significant milestone for our coastal university!
