Dear Nursing Graduates,
Congratulations!! Today marks the culmination of years of dedication, perseverance, and sacrifice—and we could not be more proud of each and every one of you.

You have grown into compassionate, competent, and resilient nurses. Through long nights of studying, challenging clinicals, and countless moments of uncertainty, you held on to your purpose. You showed up with courage, compassion, and commitment—and now, the world will be better because of it.

As you step into the next chapter of your journey, remember that nursing is not just a profession—it’s a calling. You will hold hands in moments of fear, advocate when voices are silent, and make a difference in ways words can not express.

Thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you on this journey. We are honored to have been part of your story, and we can’t wait to see the lives you will touch.

Congratulations, Wingate University BSN Class of 2025!

💙💛❤️‍🩹💙💛
We're praying for those impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Our hearts are with the people of western North Carolina as they deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Program instructors are working to contact our Hendersonville campus students and employees to make sure everyone is safe. We also want to acknowledge the students and employees on our main campus who have family in that area and may be unable to reach loved ones.

We’ve learned that there is very little cell service, and emergency crews continue rescue operations. Downed trees, power lines and flooding are still significantly impacting access to the area.

Our primary goal is the safety of our Wingate community and ensuring people have access to food, water and shelter. Once we learn more from emergency officials on the ground, our Crisis Management Team can plan how best to assist in the coming days and weeks.

Hendersonville students:

Please prioritize your health and safety in the coming days. If you need immediate assistance, reach out to local emergency responders. PA and Pharmacy leadership are continuously working on the best path to keep you informed and caught up with the curriculum. More to come from them as conditions improve and details emerge.

We are confident that access to the Hendersonville campus/building will be restricted for at least a few days, and you should consider the building closed through Wednesday.

We know this message may not reach some people because of power outages and poor cell service, so if you do read this note and are in contact with other Wingate folks, please relay our efforts to them. If able, PA students should email David Weil with their status and whereabouts, along with any other Wingate student, faculty, or staff member they have been in contact with. Likewise, Pharmacy students should email Sue Bruce.

We want to reassure you that our support will continue as long as it is needed.
