With just over 3,450 students on two campuses, Wingate’s size is ideal for strengthening leadership, intellectual activity and personal growth. Our main campus is beautiful and easy to navigate, which makes for great outdoor study groups and less getting lost. With a 15-to-1 student/teacher ratio, our faculty go out of their way to make sure that students succeed. Wingate University has built a reputation as a premier academic institution, with over a century of experience. This has prepared us to cultivate in our students the tenets of faith, knowledge and service. The University offers 37 undergraduate majors, 42 minors, five doctoral programs, and other career concentrations, preprofessional programs and graduate degrees. In addition to a robust intramural athletics program, Wingate student-athletes compete in 24 NCAA Division II sports, and Wingate has won the South Atlantic Conference Echols Athletic Excellence Award the past 16 times it has been awarded.
