Welcome to our final ! We are back with our Vice Presidents of Membership, Ben Smith, and Ava Dear! Ben is a sophomore Business Administration major from Starkville, MS and Ava is a Junior Kinesiology major from Madison, MS. Get to know why these two chose Roadrunner down below!

So Why RR?
“Roadrunner has been an incredible experience during my time at MSU. The opportunity to serve this university has taught me a lot and given me skills and connections that will long exceed my time in Starkville. A student’s decision of where to attend college is extremely important, and being able to impact that decision is a great responsibility!”- Ben

“Roadrunner celebrates people well, welcomes people warmly, asks thoughtful questions, shares personal experiences, and works diligently behind the scenes. It has been one of the biggest reasons I have grown to love MSU more & more each year! Ever since my Roadrunner tour during my senior year of high school, I admired the contagious energy the Roadrunners carried and the strong sense of community they embodied. It has been such a gift getting to now serve as a Roadrunner and quickly realize that these people would become some of my dearest friends. I will always cherish the opportunity to serve alongside them and connect with students from all over. The relational piece of Roadrunner and getting to hear about students’ passions and interests is like no other. Here’s to another year of meeting incredible students and their families, soaking in time at Monty, and sharing my love for MSU! Hail State!”- Ava

Happy  ! We are back with our Co- Vice Presidents of Administration Liz Williams, and Lauren Rounds! Liz is a Junior Kinesiology major from Roanoke, TX and Lauren is a Junior English major from Southaven, MS! Get to know a little about them below!

So Why RR?
“They always say that you get Roadrunner when you need it and for me that could not be more true. Becoming a part of Roadrunner as a timid freshman 8 hours away from home was the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Roadrunner has allowed me to become more comfortable and confident not only as a student but as a person. Being able to speak to prospective students and their families is one of the greatest gifts college has brought me. Roadrunner has provided me with a home away from home and a circle of people who are always striving to become the best version of themselves. I will forever consider myself lucky to be able to give back to the university I love so much and I am forever indebted to Roadrunner for the opportunities and friendships it’s given me.” -Liz

“Roadrunner has truly been a pivotal part of my time here at MSU. The people I have met through it have changed my perspective on how fun college can be and how different it can look. I will forever apply the lessons I’ve learned and the experience I have gained through showing families the campus that I love and seeing it through their eyes. There is also a discipline that I’ve gained— teaching me how to be a better leader, scholar, and person. ” -Lauren

It’s officially been a week since we welcomed 40 new Roadrunners to the family, and it was such a fun night. We kicked things off with Roadrunner gear and introductions before heading to Skate Odyssey to celebrate with our new members. We are already so proud of this incredible group of 26s and can’t wait to see the impact they make here at MSU and on future Bulldogs. 🐶

And a special shoutout to our amazing advisor, Avent, for celebrating her 10th Roadrunner class!

We are back with another ! This week we have our Vice President of Events  ! Get to know Anne-Marie a little better down below!

“Hey y’all, My name is Anne- Marie Howat and I am a junior Agronomy major from New Orleans, LA! I am so excited to be in charge of planning all of the Roadrunner events for the next year!

A fun fact about myself is that I am fluent in French!”

So Why RR?
“Early on freshman year, I was introduced to the idea of applying for Roadrunner. I didn’t quite know what this entailed until the convocation and interviews. It astonished me to learn that so many people wanted to serve MSU in this volunteer position. Although the process was initially intimidating, I was encouraged and inspired by my roadrunner peers. Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to spend intentional time with prospective students, cultivate steadfast friendships and secure indelible memories! There is so much excitement in making new connections and so much fulfillment in making the most of those interactions! Mississippi State is arguably the greatest place on earth and Roadrunner has become a little glimpse of heaven! My college experience would be immensely different without Roadrunner, and I consider myself blessed to serve in this way. I count it all joy! HAIL STATE! ”
