Had a blast at our annual Steamboat Days kick off social at the VFW tonight! It was great to see a room full of Warriors in Winona with amazing food and fantastic prizes! We were even treated to a visit from 2026 Miss Steamboat Days royalty. Bonus: Miss Winona is a current WSU nursing student. 💜

What a day! Gorgeous weather, a Twins victory, and a few hundred Warriors gathering at Target Field made for an unforgettable WSU Day. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a tremendous success. Go Warriors! 💜⚾️ A special “thank you” shout out to WSU Foundation Trustee, Kris Wenker for throwing out the first pitch, our very own W***o for raising the Twins Territory flag and VP of University Advancement, Jon Olson for gathering a few Warriors to sing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”.

What a night at Mayo Field! While the weather kept us guessing throughout the day, the skies cleared just in time for first pitch. Nearly 30 Winona State University alumni and friends gathered on the VIP deck to watch the Rochester Honkers take on the La Crosse Loggers.
The baseball was great, but the conversations, connections, and time spent together made the evening even better. Thanks to everyone who joined us for a fun night at the ballpark! ⚾️

What do you get when two college presidents meet and discover they share a Winona State connection?

A great reminder that the Warrior network reaches far and wide!

Dr. Scott Mertes '94, President of Mid Michigan College, and Dr. Marshall Washington '92, President of Kalamazoo Valley Community College, both in Michigan, recently crossed paths during a work meeting and learned they are both proud Winona State University alumni.

From Winona to leadership roles across higher education, these Warriors are making an impact and demonstrating the power of the WSU alumni community.

Today, we reflect with gratitude on their courage, dedication, and selflessness. We also extend our appreciation to all veterans, active-duty service members, and military families within the Warrior community and beyond.
