It was a beautiful Commencement day here at Winona State. Fine weather, happy families all over the place!
In honor of the occasion, I offer the following: What I believe to be one of my first crews here - Andrew, Jeffrey, Carrie, Ryan, Skee, and Jamin? This would probably be during The Taming of the Shrew.
And the second photo is me today, commencing something entirely different! I'll see you all around!

Hello Alumni and Friends - I can't believe it is a secret to anyone that your faithful page admin is I, Peggy Sannerud, Professor of Design.

So I thought I should let you all know that it is the with the most mixed of feelings that I announce my retirement at the end of this semester.
I began at WSU in the fall of 2003, and I have been happy and proud of our work for all these years.

So - I am inviting you all to come say hello and goodbye at my last show at WSU. We are doing "Godspell" on April 15 - 18 at 7:30 pm in the Fusillo Mainstage Theatre. Know that you and our stories together are always a part of my heart. It would be lovely to see you there!

I see that I have failed to post our season this year!! Sorry for this calamity!!

"The Secret in the Wings" by Mary Zimmerman, directed by Jim Williams. This play was our selection when we were closed in March of 2020. It is Zimmerman (the writer of "Metamorphoses") take on the Tales of the Brothers Grimm.
October 15 - 18 on the Fusillo Main Stage

"I and You" by Lauren Gunderson, directed by Heather Williams. A student is sent to tutor his ill classmate as they study Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass". The study of this famous poetry unlocks a deeper mystery that has brought them together.
November 19-22 in the Dorothy B. Magnus Black Box

"24-Hr Theatre" by our own Wenonah PLayers will be presented in the Black Box after a short 24 hour write, rehearse, design, and perform sequence.
January 31 in the DBM.

"Dancescape 2026" - Jeffrey Peterson is already directing his students, faculty, and guest choreographers for an evening of dance. Join us February 19-21 in the Fusillo Main Stage.

"Godspell" by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak, directed by Jim Williams. This timeless piece of American Musical Theatre history has some of the most memorable and singable songs ever packed into one show! So Prepare Ye to come see it!
April 15-18 on the Fusillo Main Stage.
