Ways to improve your mental health:
1. Give your mental illness was a name. It lightens the mood as well as gives you a name to blame helping you process your emotions better.
2. Find meaning in everyday activities. It may spark a sense of fulfillment, purpose and happiness.
3. Try meditating when overwhelmed. Brains go into overload mode when in distress. Taking a moment or two to calm down will help you get back on track.
4. If you need one, take a sad day. AKA mental health break or day off. This can help you grieve, cry, and feel your emotions giving your mind and body a release in the comfort of your home.
5. Write something that’s bothering you down before bed. By writing a list or a few sentences helps you sleep better knowing you can always revisit it in the morning.
6. Make sure you share how you’re feeling with at least one person, whether it’s a sister or a friend (or both). You don’t need to go through it alone.

Winona has seen some changes over the past couple of months. Winona State Panhellenic has adapted to these changes as well! Formal Primary Recruitment’s dates have changed, and we have extended the time period to allow for social distancing. There will be more news coming soon to keep everyone informed on what recruitment will look like. Registration is open now, so if you are curious about what Greek Life is like, recruitment is the best way to find out!

For the time being, this is our new normal. However, the Panhellenic Council is still planning on hosting Formal Recruitment in the fall! We are all excited to help students find their forever homes at WSU! The rounds will be from September 25th - 26th with Bid Day following on the 27th! ✨
