Congratulations Ms. Allison Calhoun on doing an amazing presentation Friday as part of the "Arts, Health Care, & Humanities in Action Symposium" held at the IGC. She spoke on "Why Occupational/Physical Therapists Should/Can Prescribe the Arts." Ms. Calhoun's presentation was well received by everyone, and she offered some great strategies while highlighting the incredible work being done by the Occupational and Physical Therapy Departments.

What a wonderful North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association's Fall Conference! It was great to see so many OT/OTA colleagues! And WSSU was well represented! From Alumni attending and presenting, to students engaging in fundraising, to faculty attending and presenting- it was amazing! And I'm very excited to share that Dr. Chinno Ingram received the Emerging Leadership Award! Congratulations Dr. Ingram! So proud to be a RAM!

Through a United-Way Grant, the WSSU OT Department is looking to hire an OT for 50 hours a semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer through June 2026-). This will be a combination of assisting Monday afternoons with our REACHE Clinic and conducting home assessments.
