Beginning in the fall of 2012, the Elevator Competition will have a new focus: retail innovation. Rather than pitching a plan for a new product, each teams will present their idea for innovating the retail industry as a whole. Whether it's a logistical development that facilitates the consumer experience or a mobile application that changes the way business is conducted, industry executives will be on hand to give valuable feedback and eventually decide which team will receive the top prize of $30,000.
