Call for Student Posters! The 2017 NC BREATHE conference on March 28 in Raleigh will feature posters of graduate student research on the impacts of air quality and climate change on health, economics and the environment. An award will be given for most outstanding poster. Interested students are invited to send an up to 300 word abstract by February 20, 2017 to Laura Wenzel, Clean Air Carolina at laura[at]cleanaircarolina[dot]org. Poster must fit on 4’x8’ surface, either vertical or horizontal. Please help us spread the word!

Registration for the 2017 NC BREATHE Conference is now open! Please join us on Tuesday, March 28 in Raleigh for a full day of sharing the latest research on air quality’s impact on health, the environment, and the economy and discussing our collective challenges and opportunities for clean air solutions. This year's featured speakers include, Dr. Sri Nadadur of National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Andrew Yates of UNC-Chapel Hill, and Dr. Rebecca Dodder of the US Environmental Protection Agency. The 2017 NC BREATHE Conference is a free one-day event with breakfast and lunch provided. The health of our country is at stake as the D.C. Circuit Court hears the polluter-backed lawsuit against the Clean Power Plan. Brush up on the details of the case before oral arguments start on 9/27.

Are you registered for NC BREATHE? Join us for this free one-day conference to discuss the latest research related to the impacts air pollution has on human health, the environment, and the economy. Lunch will be provided with special remarks by NC Attorney General Roy Cooper. Additionally, over 30 speakers from across the state will speak on a wide range of air quality and health issues during eight breakout sessions, including Clean Air & Heart Health and State of Air Quality in NC.
