Knife skills, kitchen safety, recipe development, and menu planning. 🍽️ Our students are learning to prepare meals from start to finish in a professional kitchen studio, using the same commercial equipment found in restaurants across the industry. Supported by Ridge Technical College Instructors and STEEL Program staff, students build confidence, independence, and real-world skills needed for meaningful employment in food service. Every recipe is a step towards a successful future.

STEEL Program staff work closely with each student, providing individualized support through classroom instruction, internship experiences, and career planning. Every student is also partnered with Vocational Rehabilitation, a state agency that provides ongoing employment services and support.

Through the STEEL Program, students can earn industry-recognized credentials including the Florida Ready to Work Soft Skills Credential signed by the Governor, Digital Skills certification, and American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Certification.

These credentials help students demonstrate workplace readiness and open doors to competitive, integrated employment in their chosen field.
