Safety starts with awareness! 🚨

Recently, STEEL students and guests attended a Lunch & Learn focused on Safety and Avoiding Scams, facilitated by Polk County Sheriff's Office Deputies.

Attendees learned valuable tips on staying safe, recognizing scams, and protecting themselves both online and in everyday situations.

A big thank you to the Polk County Deputies for taking the time to share their knowledge and support our students and community through this important conversation!

In professional kitchens, a black apron symbolizes skill, responsibility, and achievement.

This May, STEEL Program students proudly earned their black aprons, recognizing their hard work, growth, and dedication throughout the year. This milestone reflects the confidence and skills they have developed as they prepare for year two.

Celebrating a Year of Growth and Achievement! 🎉

Students in the STEEL Program recently showcased all they’ve accomplished throughout the 2025–2026 academic year during the End-of-the-Year Showcase.

Each student created a personalized display highlighting their unique strengths, skills, goals, and vision for the future. Guests also had the opportunity to see students put their hospitality and culinary training into action as they helped prepare the event space and served refreshments they created themselves, including charcuterie cups, veggie dip cups, and dessert cups.

The evening was a wonderful celebration of growth, independence, and the bright futures ahead for our students. Thank you to the families, friends, and supporters who joined us in recognizing their success!
