Pitt Community College English Language Acquisition Program The ELA Program is designed to help adults whose native language is not English. Classroom instructi Most classes are 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Classes are designed to help improve English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. All ELA courses help learners develop life skills required for living and working in the United States. Classes at the Leslie Building of Pitt Community College's main campus are offered year round, Monday - Thursday. and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Instruction is given at beginning, intermediate and advanced

levels. Specialized courses are also available and include a language lab for individualized instruction, TOEFL preparation, citizenship and distance learning to supplement classroom instruction.
