Architectural Technology at Pitt Community College Architectural Technology provides knowledge and skills that can lead to employment in the field of architecture or an associated profession.

The Architectural Technology Department is committed to training individuals in the program with vocational and technical skills appropriate to their educational abilities, all while maintaining rigorous academic standards. Mr. Len Van Staalduinen started off by introducing the students to a table display that contained an assortment of student projects from each aspect of the program, which included but was not limited to Photoshop, AutoCAD, board drafting, Revit,and SketchUp. He went on to explain how each one ties into the other.

This past week our program, among many others, participated in the “Advanced Manufacturing and STEM Awareness Day”. This event allows high school and early college students the opportunity to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers.

"On September 27th, 2017 I was honored to receive the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Scholarship through the Pitt Community College Foundation. I am greatly honored to receive this award of almost 50% of my tuition.
