Last week, students took an overnight trip to UVA to participate Rec N Roll Adapted Field Day, learn various ways to modify activites to be inclusive, tour kinesiology labs, chat with kinesiology faculty, and meet with graduate students. We are so grateful for the opportunity to connect with and look forward to future collaborations!!

Students in Physical Activity for Special Populations have been working on their communication skills and building relationships with residents at Heritage Hall. It has been such a rewarding project! A win for all parties!!

Shoutout to Kylie Brodt (Exercise Science major) and Piper Lane (Exercise Science major) for representing UVA Wise at the 2025 Virginia AHPERD Conference! They shared their experiences about working with 5th graders at Coeburn Middle, learning TPSR (Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility), creating meaningful assessment tools, and growing as confident leaders.

Kylie will also be presenting at Research Blitz on Friday!

Congratulations to Dr. Brittany Belcher who was elected as the new Region 7 Representative, making sure voices from our corner of the state are heard! 🥳💃🏼

We enjoyed connecting with amazing teachers, VDOE members, and education leaders from across Virginia! Can't wait for next year!
