Earlier this semester, Professor Haider published an article in the Washington Post. Her analysis, titled "Pakistan has a narrow window to boost climate resilience," discussed the role of good local governance in creating climate resilience. The article outlines how the flooding in Pakistan is indicative of a broader issue: a lack of infrastructure to mitigate the risk of climate change.

This year’s floods are only part of Pakistan’s larger environmental crisis. Good governance at the local level might be one path forward.
