Holy Cross Business Office

Holy Cross Business Office Major in ANYTHING & Succeed in BUSINESS. All programs are offered on a non-credit, co-curricular basis.

The Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society prepares students for business careers after Holy Cross by exploring multiple pathways for students interested in business. A liberal arts education is most valuable in today’s world when students have opportunities to connect their classroom learning to real-world environments and problems.

Celebrating the memory, contributions, and lasting impact of Julie Kreymborg ’25.

The College dedicates this cherry blossom tree in her honor, a living tribute that will continue to grow, flourish, and inspire, just as she did. Visit the tree beside the steps of the Dinand Library.

Julie also became the first Holy Cross student to earn a posthumous degree.

Forever remembered, deeply missed, and always part of our community 💜

15 students recently explored how Python and AI tools can help make sense of large datasets.

Led by Beau Lescott ’95, Founder of Adaptive Portfolio Technologies, students jumped into Google Colab and experimented with Gemini’s AI features to support analysis. A key takeaway was learning when it’s time to level up from Excel to Python for larger, more complex data sets.

Thanks to Larry Doyle ’83 who led our Banking & Ethics Workshop and pushed students to think about what responsible banking looks like in practice.

The group discussed how to evaluate risk and opportunity, make tough calls without compromising principles, and lead in a way that shapes a strong culture.

His advice for students: “Be a sponge and don’t be afraid to take risks.”

The future of finance belongs to the curious.

In the last Ciocca Insights event, Roy Vella ’90 emphasized that in a world driven by AI, curiosity is the #1 trait employers look for.

Join the Finance Club on Mon., Apr. 20 @ 7pm for another engaging fireside chat with Terry Waters ’86 and Peter George ’81, both experienced CEOs. They will provide students with valuable context about the application process making it engaging, practical, and actionable.

Student founders took over Off the Rails on Tuesday evening for the 3rd annual WooTank Intercollegiate Showdown in Worcester, hosted by The Venture Forum. In true Shark Tank style, teams from Clark, Holy Cross, Nichols, WPI, Assumption, and Quinsigamond Community College pitched to a panel of investors for cash awards and mentorship.

Congrats to Andrew Trachimowicz ’27, who won $2,000 for SLYCE, his Rhode Island–based vodka soda brand.

Celebrating Beatriz Pina Smith ’87!

From accounting major to EVP & CFO, Beatriz has been a true champion for Holy Cross students. We are grateful for her time sharing insights at the annual Women in Business Conference, hosting students at Natixis Asset Managers in Boston, and opening doors for fellow Crusaders along the way. She’s connected students with alumni, offered real-world industry exposure, and inspired the next generation of leaders.

Congratulations on your well deserved retirement, Beatriz. The HC community is stronger because of you 💜
