Are you on the hunt for internships or new-grad roles in the tech industry? Navigating through the sea of ambiguously titled job listings can be quite a challenge. That's why we're excited to invite you to a special event on Thursday, November 16th where we'll be joined by our guest speaker, Evan Hoffman, who will be sharing his insights and expertise with you!
Seminar
How to Effectively Search the Web for Tech Roles and Avoiding the LinkedIn Resume Pile
Date: Thursday, 16th November
Time: 12 PM - 1 PM
Location: CMACD 305/306/307
Evan Hoffman, a 2021 Clark University graduate with a CS Major and Data Science Minor, has a wealth of experiences to offer. During his time at Clark, he played a pivotal role as a founding board member of TIE, served as a Teaching Assistant, and handled Sys Admin responsibilities. Following his graduation, Evan pursued internships at Booz Allen Hamilton and Capital One, where he continued into their rotational software engineering program. He's worked on website teams and currently contributes to the corporate surveillance and communications capture team.
Evan's journey is packed with valuable experiences, and he will guide you through the challenges of finding internships or new-grad tech roles. In a tech world full of ambiguously titled job listings, Evan will teach you how to narrow down the field and submit applications before they hit job aggregation sites. This proactive approach will help you stand out in a smaller pool of resumes.
Join us on Nov 16th in CMACD rooms 305, 306, and 307 from 12 PM to 1 PM, and get ready to supercharge your job search! This will be our last event of the semester so we're looking forward to seeing you there!
Best,
Rayyan A.
