Clark University’s Net Impact Graduate Chapter would like to invite you for a guest Lecture by Professor Marc Montalvo on the Green New Deal. He will break down the groundbreaking deal being proposed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ed Markey so that students can understand it comprehensively. We will talk about the different players, achievable goals and bureaucratic context of the deal while understanding how students can bring the aspirations of the content to life through our own career aspirations.
Professor Montalvo is the President of Daymark Energy Montalvo Advisors, a consultancy that provides management and investment advice and analysis to executives and public policy makers in the electric power and natural gas industries. Marc has almost 25 years of experience in the power industry. He advises investors, developers, utilities, and government agencies and has appeared as an expert before Federal and State regulators on issues including policy design and implementation and resource economics and capital planning. His research and teaching interests include public finance, the role and impact of public policy and subsidies in shaping infrastructure investment and power sector decarbonization, and applications of multi-criteria optimization and stochastic modeling and simulation techniques to portfolio selection and capital budgeting.
We welcome you to our event and definitely encourage research to enable a lively debate at the end of the lecture!
