For more than 50 years, Rev. James Hayes, S.J., ’72 dedicated his life to accompanying others through loss, a call rooted in his own experience.

Along the way, he helped generations of students, alumni, faculty and staff navigate life's most difficult moments, leaving a legacy of care and compassion that endures far beyond his years of service. 💜

We’re excited to welcome five incredible local artists as part of the HC x WCC 2026 Creative Residencies at the Prior Performing Arts Center. 💜

Local artists Ava D’Eon, Jean-Sebastien Duvilaire (with JSSDance), Cesar Rodrigues, Samuel Sjostedt and Isiah Tucker (with Inner Voice Outer Change) have been selected for HCxWCC's 2026 summer creative residencies at the Prior Performing Arts Center at the College of the Holy Cross through its Scholarship in Action at Holy Cross program, the final year of a three-year partnership between the College, the city's Cultural Development Division, and the Worcester Cultural Coalition. Stay tuned this summer for updates on the exciting work being done by these artists-in-residence!

Meet Kaitlyn Flanagan ’26, team captain of the Holy Cross Women's Basketball team, student teacher at Claremont Academy in Worcester Public Schools and the definition of doing it all.

From leading on the court and in the classroom of 10th graders, she's a busy woman with a passion for her students and her team. 💜
