It was a picture-perfect day for a picnic! WCC celebrated our Carroll County Alumni and their families with music, food, and fellowship at the Carter Pines Recreation Park in Hillsville on Friday, September 17, 2022.

We have some special people and organizations to thank for helping to make this event a success: Ms. Mava Vass, Mr. Brian Spencer, Carroll County Parks & Recreation, The New River Line Band, and the Harmony Ridge Band.

The WCC Educational Foundation & The Appalachian Warrior Foundation will host the Dr. Thomas L. Barnes Veteran Scholarship Golf Tournament beginning October 7, 2022 at the Wytheville Golf Club. The tournament format is hybrid - play your round on October 7 or play anytime, Monday - Friday, October 8-November 4. The Barnes' family will be in attendance on October 7. Call 276-223-4771 for information about how to become a sponsor for this event, or register for the event at www.wcc.vccs.edu/golf-tournament. All proceeds from this event directly benefit local veteran students.
