"The GPAC is honored to present this year's award to Andy Bernatow," said GPAC Commissioner Corey Westra. "He always steps up when needed for the league. For example, this year when we needed a baseball host site for our tournament, Andy willingly offered their ballpark in Yankton and they provided a first class experience. Andy loves GPAC and NAIA athletics and is very deserving of this honor from his peers." 👏👏👏

New Mount Marty Red Cross Club President Luke Bernatow '27 was accepted into the American Red Cross Collegiate Leadership Program and recently attended a two-week training conference at the American Red Cross Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Luke said that the conference "was truly a life-changing experience that gave me a fresh perspective and inspired me to give back to my community while working to save lives in any way I can." 🌟💙

Five years ago today...

On July 1, 2020, Mount Marty College officially became Mount Marty University! This change marked the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for our campus and our community.

The name change was a step that highlighted the impact of our combination of liberal arts and career-oriented education rooted in the Catholic Benedictine tradition. It was more than just a name change, though, it was about embracing the growth and expanding opportunities for our students.

As President Long said in 2020, "it's an exciting time to be a Lancer," and that still rings true today. 💙💛

Lalit Jain '25 turned his passion of archery into a profession. Now, he serves as the Event & Results Coordinator for the National Field Archery Association, assisting with national tournaments. Archery brought him to Mount Marty University and shot him into his dream career. 🏹

In May, Mount Marty University celebrated the Class of 2024-2025 at commencement. The ceremonies honored students who graduated in the fall of 2024 and spring of 2025 and candidates for August 2025.

Congrats to the Lancers Women’s track & field team! We had 22 athletes with a GPA over 3.00; 19 athletes with a GPA over 3.50; and 12 athletes with a 4.00 for the Spring Semester. Love when great people do great things!

"I find it so humbling to have a career where I have seen everything from a baby's first breath to someone else's last." Betsy (Crumly) Roche '24 graduated last May with a bachelor's of science in nursing and accepted an Intensive Care Unit flex nurse position with Children's Nebraska in Omaha.
