Today Dr Jena Burgess and Dr Suzanne England, MSN Faculty, made their 1st and final (respectively) Oblation with the Benedictine Sisters at a special ceremony at Mount Marty University. We even have an Oblate in training that joined today! Thank you to Sr Rosie for your guidance and continue commitment to this mission to the Benedictine Way of life in which lay persons can become more involved and committed the the mission at MMU, our communities and ourselves! 🙏🏻🥰

This week, MSN Nurse Practitioner students participated in their seminar immersion experience, where they learned clinical skills, engaged in educational sessions led by local medical providers, and served more than 230 meals at The Banquet. A special thank you to Dr. Burgess and Dr. Duerksen for organizing this meaningful experience and providing this hands-on training. Wishing everyone a happy early Nurse Practitioner Week, also!

Day one of the South Dakota Nursing Association conference just wrapped up in Brookings. Many MMU alumni in attendance. SDNA President Deb Fischer-Clemens (1977), Sister Peggy (2005), and Megan (Hegerfeld) Hammond (2004) served as the auctioneer for the SDNA live auction after the banquet. Fun evening with $$ going to a great cause.
