Wednesday July 7th & Thursday July 8th

M21 Veteran’s Lot please use F20 or F1

M35 please use M30 Parking Deck Walnut Entrance

Thursday July 8th & Friday July 9th

F20 Melnick Lot please use F1 or M21

V46 Steel Museum please use F45

S42 please use M53 on Rayen Avenue or M47 on Phelps Street

Beginning Friday July 2nd & all next week

M2 please use M81

M63 please use M61 & M60

M91 please use M90

Parking Lot Improvements

Parking lot improvements begin Friday July 2, 2021

30 parking lots will either be paved or resealed during the month of July.

Overnight Parking Lots Closing July 2 thru July 16 for paving:

M-2 on the East Bound Service Road - Alternate Parking use R-3

M-24 at the University Courtyard – Alternate Parking use M-32 (overnight parking permitted during construction)

M-63 on Lincoln Ave north of the Enclave – Alternate parking use M-61 on Rayen Ave.

M 91 near the Flats – Alternate parking use M-90 on Elm St.

Additional closures will occur daily.

If you are a student working this summer on campus or living on campus you still need to purchase a parking permit.

You must display a current YSU parking permit to park on campus. The following link can be used to purchase a semester pass.

You can also purchase passes in the parking office located in Smith Hall, 275 Fifth Ave, Monday thru Friday 8 am -4pm.

Summer Parking

Summer parking permits are available online. Remember, your spring parking permit expires on May 8 and a valid parking permit is required at all times to park a vehicle on the campus of YSU.

In order to receive your permit on time, you should order immediately. Be sure to update your mailing address to where you want your permit delivered.

There are two different links to order your permit depending if you are taking classes or not.

If taking summer classes, you can order through your portal as usual and the permit will be mailed to the address you choose.

Daily permits may be purchased in Smith Hall from 8am – 4pm or at the M30 and M81 booths from 7am – 6pm. Daily permits may be used in all mixed lots.

OVERNIGHT PARKING permits are required from 11PM – 7AM daily.

The M-47 lot on Phelps, across from Williamson College of Business and the S-42 lot on the corner of Hazel and Rayen have been designated overnight parking for the summer semester only. An overnight permit is required from 11PM – 7AM. Commuter or overnight permits may be used daily.

Parking rules and regulations are in effect 364 days of the year. Enforcement will continue at all times.

Students with state disability plates or hang tags must obtain an accessibility sticker to affix to your current University permit by presenting the official handicap registration form at the Office of Parking Services. If you do not have your original registration form, you may obtain a duplicate for a fee at any Bureau of Motor Vehicles Office. Persons with temporary mobility impairments may be eligible for special parking privileges. A physician's statement of need describing the nature and duration of the disability must be presented to the Parking Services Office. These permits are limited with restrictions and will be issued only to holders of current YSU parking permits.

Summer Construction

Beginning July 6, 2020 and running through August 1, 2020, the F1, R4 and M70 lots will close for resurfacing.
Alternate parking for the F1 and R4 lots will be the M82 and M21 lots.
Alternate parking for the M70 lot will be M82 and M60 lots.

When you find out you have low tire pressure in one of your car tires, don't worry there is a free air station on Level 2 of the Wick Ave parking garage. It is located right after you enter the garage from the main entrance off of wick ave. The station is easy to use just set the desired pressure using the + or - buttons. Secondly press hose chuck onto tire stem and wait for the beep and you are properly inflated. If you have any questions please contact parking at 330-941-3546.
