Being a Penguin is a family affair for Theresa Trucksis Hickey '45, her children and grandchildren. She celebrated her 102nd birthday on September 1st at her home in Hubbard, Ohio!

Theresa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from YSU in 1945 and later earned a Master of Library and Information Science. She is a retired director of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County from 1989 to 1997. Please join us in wishing Theresa a very happy birthday from her Penguin family! ❤🐧🥳🎉

YSU is gathering mascot data in conjunction with Pete and Penny's vow renewal during the November 24th Youngstown State Women's Basketball game vs. Akron. All are welcome to attend an alumni basketball dinner on the West Deck prior to the game. Details coming soon. 🐧❤

Save the date for the Half Century Club Celebration - Sunday, October 18 at 11:30am! Graduates from the Class of 1976 and earlier class years will be honored. The event will take place at the Williamson College of Business Administration.

🐧⚾🐧Over 180 Penguins enjoyed a beautiful night at the ballpark for the YSU alumni night at the Mahoning Valley Scrappers! A gorgeous evening with good food and great baseball.

⚾YSU President Bill Johnson threw out the first pitch and posed with Scrappers player and YSU Alum Jack Messmore! 🐧
