It is a BEE-utiful day today!!! Thanks to the support of many donors we now have an apiary on campus!!! We are always excited to add more sustainable efforts to our program, all to help demonstrate sustainable opportunities our future chefs can pursue. It was an emotional day as the students completed their last course and kitchen cleaning. The signing of the menus is always a great way to bond and leave a lasting impact on generations of students to come. Thank you all for your dedication and attention to detail!

We are now two weeks into our À La Carte Dinners and it has been a blast!! Students are focusing on combining all the skills they have learned during their time in our program with real-world experience. This is always an exciting class because most of these students will be graduating in less than a month!!!

Today, we had the honor of participating and co-sponsoring the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association Hospitality Workshop for the Culinary & Pastry Sessions. Middle and High School Students from across Southwest Pennsylvania had the opportunity to learn about different career fields in Hospitality while participating in engaging workshops.

The Culinary & Pastry Workshop consisted of learning how to make empanadas and strawberry mousse.

Our Food Specialties classes have traveled around the world over the past few weeks, and this week, they studied and practiced Chinese Cuisine. What a great way to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year)!! Check out their amazing dishes!!
