YPSILANTI –  Eastern Michigan University Associate Professor Adam Briggs has been named the recipient of the 2024 B. F. Skinner Foundation New Researcher Award for his outstanding contributions to applied behavior analysis.

Congratulations are in order for Dr. Adam Briggs!

Dr. Briggs was honored to receive the 2024 B. F. Skinner Foundation New Researcher Award earlier this month from the American Psychological Association's Division 25 (Behavior Analysis).

This award recognizes Dr. Briggs' innovative research in behavior analysis conducted within the first 10 years of receiving a doctorate. In particular, Dr. Briggs' work in the assessment and treatment of severe forms of challenging behavior has garnered him this prestigious honor.

Congratulations to Doctoral student Michelle Lobermeier, who won The 2023 AACN Greiffenstein-Kaplan Student Poster Presentation Award at the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology meetings in Washington DC.!

Poster Title: PediaTrac Motor & Social / Communication / Cognition Factors at 9 Months Predict Autism Spectrum Disorder Risk at 18 Months

The $500 monetary value award reflects Michelle’s hard work and dedication to her research.

May is National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month, and we're conducting an important study at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). Did you know that Black teens are disproportionately affected by asthma? Let's work together to make a difference!

If you're between 13-17 years old with asthma and identify as Black or African American, we need your help! Join our study to inform the development of an asthma workshop. It involves attending a 2.5-3 hour workshop via Zoom, completing surveys, and participating in an exit interview. You can earn up to $100 in Visa gift cards for your participation.
