Senior Spotlight✨

Name: Eleni Tsadis

PC: Fall '24

Degree: Social Work

Favorite memories while in Alpha Gam: It’s hard to choose! Some of my favorites are definitely running home, big/little reveal, and retreat. I also have loved all the laughs, photo shoots, and late night talks.

Plans for next year: I plan on pursuing a master’s degree in social work and getting licensed.

A note from her Little: I'm so lucky I get to call you my sister, big, and my best friend. Even if we only really got one year to get to know one another, I wouldn’t change a single thing. I believe sometimes God puts people in your life for a reason. I look at us, and I know that He put you in my life with purpose. I needed you more than I realized I did, your presence has really helped me adapt to the big change this year has been, and I will always carry the memories we made with me. Favorite memories while in Alpha Gam: Big/little reveal, painting with my big in preparation for my littles, and going to IRD every year!

Plans for next year: I will be returning back to EMU in the fall for my Master’s degree in Creative Writing

Notes from her Littles: Hi Hannah, you have been nothing but kind to me. We had our first long conversation during rush weekend. I felt like this was this could become a genuinely good friendship. I had a rush crush like you. You were someone I would love to be around. Our hobbies and interests really clicked together. Our Monster High theme for big little week was an excellent choice. As you of course know Draculaura and Frankie are best friends. The supernatural painting you gave me was one of my favorite gifts you have gotten me. What Bobby said was true, and it's true for us. The small treasure box you gave me was my favorite. I know that when I look at that box 20 years from now all I will see is the smile you gave me when you gave me that basket. You and the others made the sisterhood feel special. Sororities typically aren't a home for goths but you and our sisters made it a home. You may be leaving the squirrels nest but you always have a home to come back to in everyone's hearts, and especially mine. As your sister, I love you. Thank you for being my big. --Leilani

Name: Madison McKenzie

Degree: Clinical Laboratory Sciences - Medical Laboratory Sciences BS

Favorite memories while in Alpha Gam: It’s so hard to choose just a few memories! Looking back on the past four years, some of my favorites are the simple, spontaneous moments with the girls—Slurpee runs, shopping trips, movie nights, concerts, and late-night talks. Those are the memories I’ll always cherish and hold close to my heart.

If I had to pick specific events, Big/Little Reveal stands out as one of the most special. I love Addy so much, and I’m incredibly grateful to call her my “mom.” Trips like ACO in Georgia and our sisterhood retreat up north were unforgettable as well. Traveling to Georgia and meeting girls from all over (from Hawai‘i to Canada) was extraordinary. It's one thing to hear that AGD is an international sorority, but it's another thing to experience it. Bonding with my sisters during our time up north strengthened my sense of sisterhood with all of them.

While my time in the chapter may be ending, I can't wait to continue making new memories with my sisters (both collegiate and alum)!

Plans for next year: Working in the Core Lab at Trinity Health Ann Arbor as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.

A note from her Big: Madison,

I genuinely cannot believe I’m here once again writing you a sappy little note, but this time it’s for your last hoorah in chapter. Weird… when did we grow up? It feels like just yesterday I was throwing a Shrek themed big little reveal, running around like a crazy person, and somehow that turned into you standing next to me on one of the biggest days of my life, what are the odds there.

You are so much more than just my little. You’ve become someone I can always count on, someone who makes everything more fun, and someone I’m endlessly grateful for. Through everything, you’ve just been there, and that means more than I probably say.

I am so proud of you and everything you’ve become. The way you show up for yourself and your passions, for people you love and everything in between is something I am incredibly proud to watch you do. Getting to watch you grow into all you are has meant so much to me.

This is such a big moment, and while I’m so excited for everything ahead of you, part of me is like wait… don’t go yet. Too soon to grow up, but I guess im glad we get to do it together. Plus I know you’re going to do amazing things, you always do.

I love you so much. Forever your big, forever in your corner, and forever thankful that a tiny little chapter at eastern started it all! See you at the alter 🫶🏼 --Adelaie

Name: Kandi Bethke

Degree: Elementary Education Comprehensive K-6

Favorite memories while in Alpha Gam: Some of my favorite moments include serving as Panhellenic President and as a recruitment counselor, as well as watching all of my PNMs run home. Other highlights of my Alpha Gamma Delta journey include planning our sisterhood retreat to Canadian Lakes and welcoming my two littles, Michelle and Eleni.

Plans for next year: Next year, I plan to complete my student teaching and take the next step toward becoming an elementary school teacher.

A note from her Little: My sweet Kandi… where do I even begin!? From the moment I met you, something just clicked and I’ve been obsessed with you ever since. You are truly my why, and I’m so grateful to have you as my big. I love you with my whole entire heart. No matter where life takes us, you will always mean so much to me. You are one of the kindest, strongest, and most determined people I know, and you inspire me every single day. Watching you grow has been so special to me, and I will always be so proud of you.
