Who we are

We are the Student Ministry for Cross and Resurrection Lutheran Church at EMU in Ypsilanti. We have many opportunities for students at EMU, WCC and Concordia, as well as families from the surrounding communities, to join us as we serve EMU and our community. We value BElonging, BElieving and BEcoming the cherished children of God who Jesus Christ died to save! What we do

During the

college school year we offer Pancakes and Waffles TOO every Friday night from 10pm to Saturday morning at 1am. We provide a GATHERING @ THE CHAPEL every Saturday afternoon at from 5-6pm in order to Praise, Pray and Ponder the amazing God who loves us! We offer Sunday Services at 8:30am as our Heritage Service and then a Transformation Hour with studies for all ages at 9:40 and then our Living Praise Service (Contemporary Service) at 10:40am. We have lunch every Sunday at noon and then offer Alpha (check out alphausa.org) with lunch until 1:30 in the until December then Christianity 101 in the New Year starting mid January. We have Bible Studies for Men on Wednesday mornings at 6:30am with coffee and donuts, Men on Thursday nights at 7pm. We offer Women's Bible Studies on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7pm. On Wednesday evenings we have Soup and Salad at 6:30pm with studies at 7. In the fall we offer Financial Peace University on Wednesday Evenings. Exciting Opportunities for you...

During the Christmas Break we do a "Family on Mission trip to Mississippi" then at Winter Break we do a Student Mission and Service Trip to Mississippi to serve. We, as part of Cross and Resurrection Church, do help to "Nurture Families and Welcome Students" with Food Ministry, Outreach through Hope Clinic and Family Life Services. We use a program called "DELTA" to mentor college students. WE provide opportunities for community service. Host MADD each month and serve the University in many ways. Every year in September we have a congregational retreat for students and families. This year the speaker is from Saskatoon Saskatchewan and sharing on The Power of Forgiveness! Sept 22 from 6-9:30 and Sat Sept 23 from 9:30-2:30. The Chapel supports other ministries by providing space for meetings. New Life meets here every Sunday and we have groups meeting almost every day! We desire to be a safe place to BElong, BElieve and BEcome! PLEASE JOIN US AS A MEMBER OF THE CHAPEL STUDENT ORG.
