Hello EMU Alumni
I am the chairperson for the Communication, Media and Theatre Arts Alumni Association (CMTA3).
This post is for anyone who has expressed interest in our group at some point. CMTA3 is starting back up again for this 2025-26 school year.
We are looking for CMTA alumni who would like to get together both online or in-person, plan events that bring us together, or support EMU’s CMTA programs. We are looking for anyone who was part of the theatre, communications, journalism, arts management, and media programs including any subset groups such as members of the Forensics team, Eastern Echo, and Eagle Radio.
We would meet once a month on zoom to make the magic happen. Because there is no set day and time for our meeting, I would like to hold two starter meetings in order to get as many people who might be interested to get involved. At these meetings, we will briefly discuss the goals of our CMTA Association, things we’ve done in the past, and dates we could meet regularly. The first starter date is Wednesday October 15, 2025 at 7:00p.m. EST. The second starter date will be Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 8:00p.m. EST. These are online zoom meetings. Please let me know if you plan to attend one of the meetings. I would just like to get an idea of how many to expect. Also, we are looking for people who would serve as board members to help lead the success of our alumni program. Please pass this information to any CMTA alumni that you know.
