Eastern Michigan University Department of Economics

The Department of Economics at EMU offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics with diversified areas of specialization.

In addition to BS in Quantitative Economics (STEM) and BA in Economics housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, the department offer a bachelor of Business Administration in Economics housed in the College of Business. The department also offers a major in Actuarial Science and Economics is offered in a joint program with the Mathematics department. We are also proud to house a combined BS/MS i

n Quantitative Economics (STEM) in which students can complete both degrees in five years. In addition, the department offers a masters degree in economics with several specializations: MS in Applied Econometrics (APEN-STEM), MA in Economics (ECN), and MA in International Economics and Development (ECNI), MA in Health Economics (ECNH), MA in Trade and Development (TDRV).

So incredibly proud to watch Rowan present his research at the Graduate Research and Creative Activity Conference! 👏📊
His paper takes a fascinating look at how the global structure of international trade networks relates to real economic output. He found that when it comes to a country's macroeconomic performance, the actual structure and robustness of its trade network matter just as much as overall trade volume in many regions of the world. Such a great job! 🦅💚
