As a member of ASEAN University Network (AUN), Prince of Songkla University has established a policy to promote experiential learning alongside strengthening international academic collaboration networks. In accordance with this policy, the University has initiated the International Internship Scholarship (IIS) program to provide opportunities for international students to undertake internships at Prince of Songkla University.

𝟐. 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: May – December 2026.
𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: Students must choose internship period that does not overlap with official academic schedules at HCM-IU in the 3rd semester of AY 2025-2026, or 1st semester of AY 2026-2027
𝟑. 𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞:
- A maximum of 20 partial scholarships will be awarded to students over the world, each valued at 20,000 Baht (partial support). The scholarship covers: International airfare (economy class), accommodation, daily allowance, heath/accident insurance, Visa fees.
- Scholarship recipients are required to manage their own budgets to cover all expenses incurred during the internship period.
𝟒. 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲
🔷 Be a full-time student currently enrolled at HCM-IU by the time of application.
🔷 Have good academic performance, with preference given to students with outstanding academic achievements. To be specific, candidates are suggested to have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale) in the most recent semester prior to the application deadline.
🔷 Possess good English proficiency (with proof).
🔷 Be in good physical and mental health, with no conditions that may a affect internship performance.
🔷 Provide a confirmation letter from their home university.
🔷 Provide an internship topic and a confirmation letter from the relevant faculty/department at PSU.
🔷 Students must be admitted to an internship period that does not overlap with the official academic calendar for Semester 3 (AY 2025–2026) and Semester 1 (AY 2026–2027) at HCM-IU.
𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: If students choose to undertake an internship that overlaps with the academic calendar, they are required to consult their academic advisor to ensure that participation in the program does not adversely affect their study progress or academic performance at HCM-IU.
🔷 Commit to full participation in the Program.
🔷 Hold a valid passport (valid beyond March 7, 2027).
🔻 𝐈𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- Articulation program students being ready to transfer to the second phase of studies in the fall semester 2026-2027 (or Top-up program for UWE 4+0 students);
- Students who have registered for or have completed Thesis by the time of application;
- Students whose academic progress is slower than that of their peers within the same cohort;
- Students who are in the gap semester by the time of application;
- Students who are entitled as Graduated students (as per Decision signed by HCM-IU).
𝟓. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲:
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟏: Students should submit their application to the Center for International Mobility (digital files, PDF format) via email [email protected] with subject [𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐈𝐈𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔] 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞 - 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐃.
- 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: before 01 PM of 15 May 2026 (Friday).

🔷 Original Transcript of record (in scale 100) issued by HCM-IU, illustrating the accumulative grade of applicant (students may request at OAA, or request online at https://onlinerequestoaa.hcmiu.edu.vn/. Please scan and save your Transcript in PDF format).
🔷 Scanned copy of the passport information page (PDF format), valid for at least 12 months from the internship start date.
🔷 Certificate of English proficiency (encouraged, not compulsory).
🔷 A letter of motivation (500 words in English) indicating the candidate's interest in the chosen internship program at Prince Songkla University, and how the candidate's qualifications meet the requirement of this internship position.
🔷 A letter of recommendation from a full-time lecturer at HCM-IU. The letter should indicate reasonings for the lecturer recommend the candidate to participate in this internship program.
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟐: HCM-IU performs assessment and evaluation for applications.
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟑: Shortlisted students contact the chosen internship's designated contact point or for further application procedure instructions.
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟒: Selected students submit the Letter of invitation to CIM for further paperwork performance at HCM-IU.
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟓: Selected students start applying for Visa to enter Thailand. Students contact PSU for further guidance about registering for accommodation, airport pick-up, arrival time, etc.
