🚀 Recap COM Information Session Seminar 🚀

On March 6, the COM Information Session Seminar successfully took place with an engaging and insightful talk titled “2D Linear Topology Optimization Using the SIMP Model.” The seminar was delivered by M.Sc. Vu Tran Thanh Cong, Project Manager at BKRECME, HCMC University of Technology. During the session, Mr. Cong introduced key concepts of topology optimization, the SIMP density-based model, and the Optimality Criteria method used to obtain optimized structural designs.

The seminar was also honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Klaus Hackl, RUB CompEng's Former Course Director and VGU COM's German Flying Faculty, who shared an introduction to the Computational Engineering program at Ruhr University Bochum. From the Vietnamese-German University side, Dr. Nguyen Thien Binh, VGU COM's Academic Coordinator also joined the session and contributed to the discussion, helping participants better understand the academic perspectives and opportunities related to the program.

The session was marked by an active and enthusiastic atmosphere, with participants engaging with the speakers and raising thoughtful questions throughout the discussion. We sincerely thank our speakers and all participants for making the seminar a meaningful exchange of knowledge and ideas.
