Students Hughston Burnheimer, Sydney May, and Chris Colmer visited the President James K. Polk Home and Museum in Columbia, TN. The three students will collaborate with staff at the museum to design and install a new exhibit during the spring semester. The exhibit will explore the former president’s life and the significance of his presidency in the decades preceding the American Civil War.

Congratulations to Dr. Travis Williams, Professor of Religion, who has been contracted to write “a critical commentary that offers a verse by verse explanation of the Greek text of the New Testament letters of Jude and 2 Peter,” which will be published by Yale University Press and is titled _Jude & 2 Peter: A New Translations with Introduction and Commentary.” The book will be part of the Anchor Yale Bible Commentary series, one of the most prestigious commentary series in the field of biblical studies.
