The 3rd Year Medical Biology interns of Tagum Doctors College, Inc. officially paid a courtesy call to the Municipal Mayor of Trento, Agusan del Sur today, as part of their internship deployment.

This meaningful visit marks the beginning of their community-based internship experience, where they will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge, develop professional skills, and gain valuable exposure in the field.

Tagum Doctors College, Inc - Department of Medical Biology, extends its sincere gratitude to the Municipality of Trento for the warm welcome and support given to our MedBio interns as they take another step toward growth, service, and excellence.

𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗕𝗜𝗢 𝟮𝗡𝗗 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥

Stepping closer toward the realities of the professional world, the 3rd Year Medical Biology students of Tagum Doctors College, Inc. gathered yesterday for an Internship Seminar in preparation for their upcoming practicum at RHU Trento, Agusan.

Adding depth and insight to the activity was the presence of our guest speaker, Ma’am Aiza Manglicmot, RPsy, RPm, who shared an enlightening discussion about Internship Ethics and Stress Management in the Workplace. Through her talk, students were reminded of the importance of professionalism, discipline, respect, and emotional resilience in handling the demands and pressures of internship life.

As the practicum officially begins tomorrow, the seminar became a reminder that knowledge alone is not enough, character, integrity, and proper work ethics are equally essential in becoming competent future professionals.

Today, the whole department celebrates for our 1st and lone graduate of the BS Biology major in Medical Biology program of Tagum Doctors College, Inc, our Batch Ab Initio 🧬🌱

Honey stood as the only student in her class, yet she had the whole department – faculty and juniors – who fought with and accompanied her in her journey. With perseverance and dedication, she turned challenges into stepping stones and dreams into working blueprints.

Honey, as you turn the page to whatever comes next, we hope that you will carry with you all the lessons — inside and beyond the four corners of the classroom and laboratory — that was instilled into you. Embody the core values of a true TDCIan Biologist: to lead and serve with excellence and compassion, for the people, for nature, and for the future.

Hypertension continues to affect millions of people worldwide — often without warning signs, yet with life-threatening consequences. Through this documentary, we explore the realities of hypertension within the community of Poblacion, Mawab, Davao de Oro, highlighting its causes, effects, prevention, and the personal stories behind the condition.

“𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑆𝑖𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝐾𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑟” is a student-produced public health documentary created for our Epidemiology and Public Health Laboratory, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood pressure monitoring, healthy lifestyle choices, and community health education.

This documentary reminds us that public health is not only about medicine, but also about awareness, prevention, and collective responsibility.

📍 Featuring interviews with community residents and health workers from Poblacion, Mawab, Davao de Oro.

In every community, there is a silent story being written, one that begins with water we drink, the air we breathe, and the spaces we share.

Our documentary follows this everyday reality through the lens of Epidemiology and Public Health, where small habits and unseen risks can shape the health of many. From improper sanitation to preventable diseases, we uncover how cleanliness is not just a practice, but a protection for life.

As 3rd Year Medical Biology students of Tagum Doctors College, Inc., we were reminded that health begins long before the hospital, it starts in homes, streets, and communities where awareness turns into action.

Survived the quizzes, reports, laboratory activities, breakdowns, cramming sessions, and “bahala na si Lord” moments… and now we’re finally at the FINAL BOSS: FINAL EXAMS. 😭

To all Biophilics, don’t pressure yourself too much. Study hard, do your best, but also remember to rest, breathe, eat properly, and take care of yourself.

𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗬 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Last April 27–28, the 1st Year and 3rd Year Medical Biology students had an incredible opportunity to participate in our Marine Biology Exploration at Mati City for our Systematics and Developmental Biology subject.

This educational journey allowed us to experience learning beyond the classroom while appreciating the beauty and importance of marine ecosystems. From observing different marine organisms to exploring coastal biodiversity, every activity strengthened our knowledge and curiosity in the field of biology.

Throughout the exploration, we were able to witness how diverse and interconnected marine life is, giving us a deeper understanding of systematics, organism classification, and developmental processes in nature. More than just a field activity, it became a memorable experience filled with teamwork, discovery, and shared moments among students and instructors. The trip reminded us of the importance of protecting and preserving our oceans for future generations.
