UC Davis Life is an effort by the Division of Student Affairs to centralize information about services, activities, and resources available to UC Davis students. Student Affairs is composed of departments that oversee a host of student-oriented services such as recreational opportunities, tutoring and advising, the student community centers, student club management, student housing, and health and

counseling services. In addition, you’ll have access to resources that help you find internships and research positions, prepare for the career or graduate program of your choice, and incorporate study abroad into your education. Through Student Affairs, you’ll find a myriad of ways to engage with other students and have experiences that broaden your perspective.

What are you going to miss most about UC Davis?

"I am most going to miss the people I’ve met who have helped this place feel like home. I am also going to miss the pretty scenery around campus and the calm of the arboretum."

What are you most proud of during your time at UC Davis?

"I’m most proud of my research experience and accomplishments. I’ve been involved in 4 different projects through my on-campus lab, including my own individual research project this school year. I’ve also presented at a total of 5 conferences over the years!"

In what ways has your UC Davis experience prepared you for the next steps of your life/journey?

"The open yet responsible environment at UC Davis helped me discover strengths and skills I never knew I had. As I move forward into my next chapter, I hope to carry these lessons with me and continue growing with courage."

What positive message would you like to share with your fellow graduates?

“Spending four years at UC Davis without my family nearby, and studying abroad for the first time, was not easy. There were countless moments when I felt scared and uncertain. But those experiences shaped me into someone who can take chances, jump into new opportunities, and create unforgettable memories such as switching my path from pre-vet to finance, to joining venture capital, startups, and beyond.

I hope this message resonates with the Class of 2026, and I am so excited to see how each of us will bring our own strength, courage, and choices into the future. ”

- Momona Nonaka, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, B.S. in Managerial Economics and Minor in Technology Management

Since our academic year ends in early June, having Pride Month in May gives us time to be fully present and celebrate with one another. The LGBTQIA+ Resource Center provides an open, safe, inclusive space where people of all sexes, orientations, gender identities and gender expressions are welcomed and celebrated. Many student organizations meet at the LGBTQIA+ Center which allows individuals to visit and learn more. View their list of LGBTQIA+ clubs on their website. The Cal Aggie Lambda Alumni Association is a network of alumni and allies committed to the betterment and awareness of communities that support the LGBTQI+ community.
