*Eid Mubarak: NAMS president felicitates the students and entire university as Muslims mark Eid-ul-Adha*

The NAMS president in person of *USMAN LAWAN UBANI* has felicitated all students particularly those from microbiology and biotechnology department on the occasion of the Eid el-Kabir.

Muslim pilgrims performing the Hajj in the holy city of Mecca had ascended the Mount Arafat yesterday, and today being 10th of Zhul hijjah mark the Eid el kabir celebration

In particular, the president wishes to congratulate his fellow Muslims for the opportunity to witness another Eid-ul-Adha another name for Eid el-Kabir, which is the Festival of Sacrifice, being the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year.

The President said and I quote: “I felicitate all students, particularly the Muslim faithful, on this year’s celebration.

“I assure you all that our administration will not rest or relent as to bringing new development to the department"

On this occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the president urge all students to rise above personal, group and other interests, and to promote harmony and tolerance in dealing with one another at all times.‏

He added that "We must imbibe this lesson and make it a duty to sacrifice for others and to always remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Selfishness, greed have no place in our lives and in our dealings with one another"

*Eid-ul-Adha offers an opportunity to remember the submission of Prophet Ibrahim Alaihis-Salam to Allah, by which he taught the world the value of sacrifice in relating with one another*

It is a period of sharing, so share the little you have with your friends and families.

*TRANSPARENCY IS THE KEY TO GOOD GOVERNANCE*

It is widely accepted that transparency in government leads to the generation of government accountability. It is also widely accepted that an open, transparent government allows for the dissemination of information and proceedings of government, which in turn forces government to be accountable, helps to guarantee progress and effective students oversight, while ensuring participation.

On this regard the president in person of Usman Lawan Ubani wishes to take all students along. This involves communicating all happenings to the students

On this note, the president through the office of the publicly secretary wishes to disclose all that happened since the inception of his administration up to date

NAMS FUD APPOINTS NEW PATRON.

The executive committee of NAMS FUD has agreed on the appointment of a new patron of the association in person of Dr. Nura M. Sani. This information was made known shortly after a courtesy visit paid by the EXCÒS led by the president; Comr. Auwal Ibrahim Abba to the appointee.
While accepting the appointment, Dr. Nura expressed his heartfelt gratitude, stating that there is really something in him that the association sees which made them choose him for the task.
He also charged them to be patient, deligent, God fearing and dedicatious in carrying out there responsibilities as representatives of other individuals.
