Artist Mita Solanky guided participants around the trail of fruit and nut trees and bushes, tuning in to the sounds of spring and practising deep listening along the way.

Mita's next Fruit Routes event is taking place this Friday and there are still places to join us.

Hi I’m Maria 🔬and I’m a final year textiles student. My practice revolves around questioning materiality in particular proposing bioplastics as a material alternative.

My most recent project ‘Wear Your Campus’ developed a series of accessories. Derived from resources on campus’ fruit routes scheme, the natural dyes suspended in the bioplastics preserve a part of campus and are designed to be biodegradable.

My final project will continue to play with these ideas and aim to provoke conversation about conscious design.
