To celebrate the opening of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) West Kowloon Study Centre (Museum Drive), located at the M+ Building in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Department of Cultural and Creative Arts gathered its talent.

The opening featured an interactive performance of "Topophilia" – a new piece by Dr Leung Chi-hin inspired by West Kowloon's soundscape (sea breeze, architecture, venue ambience). Pianist Dr Philbert Li King-yue and the Contemporary Music and Digital Instrument Lab used the e-Orch Ambience app to blend piano, iPads, and audience smartphones, closing with a captivating finale by EdUHK Vocal "Lacov."

Beyond the amazing performance, from the 24th to today, the CCA has hosted the Opening Exhibition of EdUHK West Kowloon Study Centre – Where Creativity Meets Technology – featuring 27 sets of visual arts and musical works that blend creative expression with technological innovation. Bringing together artists, educators, and curious minds at the M+ Building. 🚀✨

The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (Ensemble) Concert: The Silk Road🎶

All EdUHK students, staff, and members of the public are cordially invited to attend The Silk Road, an ensemble concert presented by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. Held at the New Academic Building, the concert features captivating Chinese orchestral performances and an artist interview, offering audiences an exploration of the cultural exchange and artistic richness inspired by the Silk Road, while celebrating the 10th Anniversary of EdUHK’s Retitling.

Please join us for Art For Public Good, an exhibition highlighting exceptional work from CCA Visual Arts students in the Craft class.

Using Fiber Art techniques—including Batik dyeing, embroidery, tie-dye, and laser cutting—these students have created powerful pieces that reflect compassion and connection to the community.

“This endless rain, falling through every part of my existence.”

Solo Exhibition Announcement:
Qinlin Yang: Observing London
Mezzotint Impressions

With the support of CCA department, Qinlin Yang’s first solo exhibition will open at the Education University of Hong Kong . We are grateful to have Arrow Lai Siu-Wai, Fan Yan Yuet .fanfan.ya, Ho Man Chi , and Wong Yuet Kiu .a.here for the making the exhibition happened.

This exhibition presents a collection of Yang’s mezzotint prints from early explorations to new works created in 2026. The display includes creative process and sketchbooks to reveal the steady development of her artistic practice.

Yang ‘s work is rooted in the daily experience of living in London, capturing subtle feelings of isolation and detachment within crowded city spaces. These observations are transformed into mezzotint prints, where the slow production process allows images to take shape as perceptual impressions. The works reflect the psychological states of migrants, conveying the unease and pressure of uncertain identity while evoking the weight of diasporic experiences.

In Yang’s practice, she adapts traditional techniques by layering unidirectional lines to create a diffuse, misty atmosphere, mirroring a sense of fragility and absence.

Additionally, the show features Intaglio prints by students from the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at EdUHK, creating a visual dialogue between the urban spaces of London and Hong Kong in response to the exhibition theme.

個展公告 Solo Exhibition：
楊沁霖：倫敦城市記錄
美柔汀銅版作品展

在文化與創意藝術學系的支持下，楊沁霖的首個個人展覽即將在香港教育大學 舉辦。感謝黎小威、樊欣悅、何汶芝、黃悅蕎等師生策劃展覽。

本次個展呈現沁霖的美柔汀銅版作品，涵蓋早期系列至 2026 年新作，並展示創作過程與相關速寫本，呈現藝術實踐隨時間經歷的變化。

作品源於沁霖在倫敦的生活體驗。透過觀察性寫生快速記錄城市中的交通與人群，捕捉擁擠空間中疏離與孤獨的細微情緒。速寫畫面經過轉化呈現為美柔汀版畫，藉由緩慢的製作過程展現對城市感知的表達。畫面體現移民群體常有的心理狀態，反映身份不確定帶來的壓力，並映射離散經歷在時間中累積的重量。

在創作中，沁霖改變了美柔汀常用的背景處理方式，通過單向線條的多次疊加，使畫面籠罩在彌散光與霧雨朦朧之中，用模糊的肌理呼應身份的脆弱與缺席。

此外，展覽也將特別呈現香港教育大學藝術學系學生們的凹版畫創作，通過他們的視角與展覽主題呼應，建立起倫敦與香港的城市空間對話。
