After 15 days together, it was time to say goodbye. A bittersweet moment as our students step back into reality and begin their 100 clinical hours. We’re so grateful knowing they are heading out to support the children of South Africa πŸ€πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

Day 14 was practice day β€” a moment where everything the students had learned throughout the course came together. They had the opportunity to put theory into action and see their learning come alive.
It truly was the final piece of the puzzle, bringing everything together 🀍

Day 13 was all about sand β€” a deeply powerful part of the play therapy process. Our students spent a day and a half exploring sand and its healing qualities, experiencing firsthand how it supports expression, regulation, and emotional processing 🀍

On Day 11, we shifted gears and explored neuroscience β€” with a play therapy twist! Using arts and crafts, our students created the brain while practising how to explain neuroscience in a simple, easy-to-understand way. Neuroscience is a vital part of play therapy, helping us understand behaviour and support regulation πŸ’›

On Day 9, our students pulled out their dance moves and showed us what their mammas gave them! πŸ’ƒβœ¨
They explored movement and how it can be used in a therapeutic setting β€” and of course, there were loads of laughter, energy, and fun.
Enjoy this video of them sharing their favourite movement instruments and showing off their best moves πŸ•ΊπŸ’›
