[TENDER OPPORTUNITY] For the Construction of a New Extension, Alterations and Refurbishment of the School of Pharmacy Building at the University of the Western Cape (UWC)

UWC invites suitably skilled, experienced and properly resourced General Building (GB) Contractors, with a track record of a minimum of five years as a Building Contractor, who are based within the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality, Drakenstein Local Municipality or Stellenbosch Local Municipality, and registered with a CIDB grading of 7GB or higher, to apply.

The project includes the construction of a new double-storey extension featuring a lift, chemical stores, teaching spaces and associated services, as well as alterations and refurbishment of the School of Pharmacy Building at UWC.

[READ] An international team of astronomers from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and The University of Manchester has used South Africa’s MeerKAT radio telescope to directly detect the faint radio emission from neutral hydrogen gas across cosmic distances.
