🇿🇦🤝🇬🇳 Buhle Farmers' Academy Mission to Guinea (Conakry)
Buhle Farmers' Academy* has just completed a productive mission to Guinea (Conakry) 🇬🇳, where the team held a series of high-level engagements with government officials and industry stakeholders.
🤝 The visit included meetings with the Minister responsible for Livestock and his technical advisors, as well as discussions with the Economic Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture, focusing on opportunities to develop integrated livestock and poultry value chains as part of the country's agricultural transformation agenda.
The programme also included:
🌱 Visits to rural communities and engagement with village farmers;
🥚 Site visits to commercial poultry and egg production enterprises;
🌾 Technical discussions at a poultry feed manufacturing facility; and
💬 Meetings with local stakeholders to better understand opportunities and constraints across the sector.
🐔 Buhle is now working on a proposal for a short-term training programme for approximately 200 aspiring poultry farmers, while simultaneously exploring opportunities for a broader national livestock and poultry value chain development programme.
