Day 2 of at the Grade 9 Subject Selection Expo 2026 📚

Well done to the organisers at eThekwini Municipality 👏

exposed the learners and educators to various degree programmes offered across all four Colleges on five campuses of UKZN. Attendees were also reassured that the best way to pave their way to successful careers, cultivated at UKZN's College of Health Sciences, was to excel in:

- Core mathematics ✅
- Life Sciences ✅
- Physical Science ✅

The undergraduate brochures that they received highlighted further entry requirements, which includes passing English ✅ and Life Orientation ✅ with the correct grades in matric in order to safely secure a spot to study at

Clock it to students from UKZN's College of Health Sciences Dietetics Discipline from based at Pietermaritzburg campus 🥗👏🏽✨

Kick-starting September on high note, the students took their learning beyond the classroom and onto Pietermaritzburg Campus Library Lawns, feeding fellow students and sharing tips on healthy, nutritious meals 🌱📚

The lecturers said this initiative was a wonderful example of the useful application of module evaluation, turning classroom knowledge and student learning into meaningful, practical experiences that benefit the wider student community.

From learning to practice, from evaluation to impact, this approach to Dietetics is nourishing both minds and bodies! 👏🏽🥗💚

The learners learnt about various exciting career opportunities that exist at UKZN's College of Health Sciences for top students in:
Core Mathematics ✅
Life Sciences ✅
Physical Science ✅

They were also encouraged to chose their subjects wisely in order to align themselves with world-class opportunities that exist within for undergraduate, postgraduate, local and international students.
