Thursdayโ€™s are for . Today, we continue to feature our UJ Convocation Exco, we shine a spotlight on Mr Tumelo Nyoyi, Member of the UJ Convocation Exco. Mr Nyoyi is an altruistic individual, political activist, public servant, conscious being and an empowerer who was born and raised in Katlehong, the east of Johannesburg, in the early 90s.

Mr Nyoyi Studied at Hleziphi Primary School, then Ponego Secondary School, and eventually did his tertiary level at the University of Johannesburg and the University of South Africa. Mr Nyoyi is an education enthusiast and the founder and CEO of Karaboyethu Community Training and Educational Development. In addition, Mr Nyoyi is a deputy secretary of a youth movement at the branch level and an additional member of the Regional Executive Committee at the regional level.

Mr Nyoyi completed a BCom Accounting and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of Johannesburg.

The University of Johannesburg proudly celebrates our UJ alumnus, Mr Wouter Kellerman, on receiving the National Order of Ikhamanga, announced by Ms Phindile Baleni (Director General in the Presidency), in her capacity as Chancellor of the National Orders.
This prestigious honour recognises his outstanding personal achievements as a flautist, composer and arranger. Also, his exceptional contribution to music and the arts, both locally and internationally.
Mr Kellermann, your achievements continue to inspire the UJ community and South Africa at large.
