Wits University Disability Rights Unit 40th Anniversary poster. Did you know? In 1982, disability activist Kathy Jagoe challenged a campus accessibility committee because it was made up entirely of able-bodied people. Her advocacy led to disabled representatives being appointed to the committee, helping to shape disability access at Wits for decades to come.
