Search interest in "AI marketing" in South Africa rose 90% between June 2024 and July 2025. As AI becomes part of marketing practice, the need for sound professional judgement remains.

A tool can produce polished campaign directions without knowing which one the business needs. Choosing between them takes market knowledge, ethics and commercial judgement, and that is what a specialist marketing qualification is built to develop.

Our latest article explores how AI is changing marketing work and which skills remain essential. Read it here: https://nuel.ink/W2DVa5

How well do you really know your audience across the African continent?

Treating Africa as a single market is one of the most common pitfalls in brand strategy today. Different markets bring vastly different cultural, digital, and economic contexts – even when using the exact same products.

Join Anisa Fielding, Head of Marketing at IMM Graduate School, at the Modern Marketing Power Hour as she presents "The African Consumer Decoded".

This session combines compelling data, surprising marketing facts, and real brand case studies to help marketers build strategies that actually resonate.

We asked the women in our network what they bring to the work that rarely gets named. Jacqui called it relationship work. Listening to a community, understanding what families feel, building trust over years instead of chasing a quick win.

Bronwyn pointed to teams that read a market from more than one angle, and the opportunities a uniform team misses.

Kershnee named four things at once. Commercial thinking, empathy, resilience and collaboration. And the often-underestimated leadership skill of bringing stakeholders towards a shared goal.

Clicks and conversions tell us part of the story. Trust, relationships and stakeholder confidence often develop long before they appear in performance metrics.

This Women's Month, that is the work worth recognising. If any of these stories sound like the work you are already doing, or the work you want to move into, explore IMM Graduate School's marketing and supply chain qualifications.
